What have I been up to? Where’s my head at? Hmm…. How do I even begin?
Things at work have been pretty intense over the last few weeks. You may have heard about our new/old CEO. I won’t bore you with the details, but changes are brewing all the way down the line. Everyone in the company is looking forward to the passion that the new/old guy brings to the table. I feel like we’re all getting ready for Grandma to visit: lots of preparation, but with excited anticipation.
Also on the work front, I’ve been showing houses for Lissa’s company. They compensate me well, but more than that, I feel like I’m really doing something productive with my time. I get a rush when I take an application and a thrill when that application is approved! Sometimes, the potential tenants are frustrating; sometimes, they stand me up or LIE. All in all, the experience has been very rewarding.
Outside of work, I am wrapping up my latest theatre adventure. I am doing another show for Stagecrafters, “Killjoy.” We open next Thursday. As we started rehearsal in December, I feel like I’ve been working on this show forever. The people in it have been professional and crazy, like all good theatre folk. I can’t wait for next week!
In between all of these big commitments, I still try to find time to fit in movie nights and lunch dates. Ben and I started a new “us” in The Sims, and we’re trying to decide what to give up for Lent. I vote for eating out. We both eat out alot for lunch these days. If anybody has any better ideas, let me know!
