Well, it has taken me a few days, but I think I may be over turning 30. It was a long, tiring week for reasons other than the big 3-0, but the number didn’t help.
Ben surprised me with a dinner party at Bravo; our mothers and a couple of dear friends attended. We ate food worthy of Fat Tuesday indulgence, topped off with multiple desserts. Ah, I love chocolate. Thank you for all the warm wishes and wonderful presents. I look forward to putting the cookbooks to good use, and I know that you look forward to it as well. :)
As many of you have pointed out, 30 is not old. I am in a good place in my life with a fantastic husband and many, many pets. We have a nice house, and I have a good job. I am very blessed. With all that I have accomplished in the past 30 years, the next 30 look to be amazing.
Stay tuned for cookbook adventures….

You’re right baby, 30 is not old :)
I’m so glad that you had a nice little party. I don’t know why 30 is so hard. It’s just a number and I know that, but my head and my heart were at odds. I think the anticipation of 30 was harder than actually being 30.
Happy birthday, darling!
Happy to hear you aren’t protesting your birthday anymore :) Love you…
